...and Stronger

Hi All,
Was lucky enough to share Walt's physical therapy session today and see the progress he is making. It is truely awesome!!!! His balance is getting better and the right leg is getting stronger and he is better at swinging it through and taking bigger steps.

Also truely amazing was the improving clarity in memory.. both short term and long term. Unfortunately this made it especially hard because he wasn't allowed to come out for the bike races last night and he was remembering how much he enjoyed last year. Double bummer. By the way both professional races were won by Australians. Go Aussie! (For bloggers that don't know I am from Australia) Crikey!

Walt continues to be my hero. He is working sooooo hard. Patty and Lindsay created a miracle with their faith and the love and support from the Walt Watch community.

GO Walter.

Love to all
Coco

Go Walt, go. I am continually inspired by your determination and endurance. It is a fine day every day. You are an inspiration to me when I see how far you have come.
Best wishes from Wasilla Alaska.
We just had 24 hours of day light and what a special energy in the air. We have steady rain now to help with the fires. bye to you all, LaVonne

Patty says: Visitors wanted. Please try to stop by and visit Walter. When people come he will tell me about the visits and I can see that this therapy with people he knows does wonders for his road to recovery. He is awake and alert. We hope to have him home for a day visit next week. He is doing great with therapy but is still working hard to walk again.

Oh a personal note, thank you Geno for the wonderful pictures and Coco for her dedication. Thanks to Bennett for helping me with organizing my garage and putting up my shed. Also, for the great hots on the grill. Also to Lindsay and Brian for their strength and dedication to their parents during this hard time. We will get through this with flying colors!! Go Walter!!

I had only a short visit with Walter on Friday afternoon before he was called for supper, but it was just great to see the progress he's making, and the "ooohhhh" I got from him when I kissed him on the cheek when I left. You can certainly see his sense of humor coming through with every minute spent with him.

You are an amazing individual, Walter, with an even more amazing family.

Keep up the good work Walter - your reward (your home, your family) is waiting for you and from what I can see, and the progress you're making, it won't be long before you're able to go home for good. What a happy day that'll be for everyone.

Love,
Norma and Joe

From Bernie and Dick (Using Jen's account)
Hi Walter, it's so good to see how well you are doing. Dick stopped up to see you last Friday when I was babysitting, and told me how wonderful you look and how hard you're working on your therapy. He got a chance to watch as you did your physical therapy, and was very impressed. I can't wait to get up to St. Mary's and see you again. You truly are an inspiration to everybody. By the way, it doesn't matter if you haven't had a drink -- you still have a SUPER personality. Keep up the good work and remember, we love you and are thinking of you every day. All the very best. Love Bernie and Dick

Walter, I was very happy to see you doing so well and working very hard. It was amazing to watch you go through your therapy with determination. It is nice to know that your memory is coming back too. Patty, it was great seeing you again. I'm glad we could get together and enjoy the day.

Keep up the good work Walter!

Hey you Spanish speakers out there, what did Rodrigo write?

Coco,
In answer to your question on the Rodrigo stuff, I ran it through a language translator web site. It's just a gobbledegook collection of words from several languages. Looks like it was an attempt to get us to click on the web link that appears twice in the text to take us to someone's web site. (I didn't click on it.)

Thanks Brian,
I wasn't game to click on it either.
