Quick note

My dad is being moved back to Strong today. I guess the people at St. Mary's don't like his fevers or his irregular breathing. They seem to be worried about a possible infection. We don't know which unit he is going to at Strong but he should be back there this afternoon. We don't know anything else but someone will post later when we get more information.

Chin up, Linds. There's been such good progress in the past four weeks, I guess it's expected to have a step back once in a while.
He'll get there.
Maybe he's just not done sharing his "Walt words" with the staff at Strong yet :1
Anyway, hope you all know we're with you guys for the ride. Thanks for all the updates.

Linds, I was smiling today thinking of one of our recent conversations. You said your Mom would like to hear the story so here it goes......

When Walt used to drive me home first couple times he would tend to ask which house it was that I lived in. I would always say "It's the one on the bend thats brown with blue shutters". His response always was "I'm color blind" and I would feel like such an ass. Linds and I had a good laugh on the phone the other day because she said "maybe my Dad will wake up and he won't be color blind anymore". I just thought it was time that I finally left a comment on the blog spot. If I think of any other cute stories I'll keep posting them. Love, Shannon

Keep the faith guys! Rarely does progress follow a straight line.

BTW, I'm in Japan now and they don't block waltwatch access here, so I feel more connected. Be back on Thursday.

Happy Easter!

Rick

A message from Bernie and Dick (we're using Jen's Acct). Lindsay, Jim -- our son-in-law heard the call today as he was working at Monroe Ambulance, regarding your Dad. After looking into it, he discovered it was your Dad they were taking back to Strong Hosp. because of his fever. He did go up to Strong to see your Dad in the Emergency Dept. where they were keeping him at the time. Don't fret too much as there will be some setbacks and the hospital will get to the bottom of this fever. Let's all give him some time as it is still quite early and his poor brain is still trying to heal. Let us know what's happening and we'll wait to hear from you as to what's going on. All the Best and thanks for keeping us all informed. Love Bernie and Dick
