Note from Patty

Wow! what a crazy visit on Thursday. He is such a jabberjaw and words come and go but he just wants to and keeps talking about coming home. I have them take off the restraints when I am there. For 4 hours he tries to get up and touches his head. For 4 hours I say "No Walter" over and over. He loves to call Lindsay and Brian on the phone. He tries so hard to talk to them and I know when he goes to St. Mary's he will do just great! By the way, today is really Good Friday. Walter will be at St. Mary's by 1:00 today. He can have visitors. The phone no. is 368-3841 if you want to visit. He really needs visitors now to get his brain working. You do not need to call before you go. I gave you the phone no. if you need directions. I think when he gets there he will want to start physical therapy right away. He was definately sick of that bed!!! If you have pictures of things that you have done with Walter please bring them. It will be great for the memory!! All I can say now is Work hard Walter we have got lots of living to do!!!!!

Hi From Bernie and Dick (Using Jen's Acct.)
Hi Patty, It was so good to hear from you this morning re: Walt moving to St. Mary's Hospital and the little food (meatloaf) he ate last night. Incredible! It's good to hear that Walt is still chatting up a storm and that he wants to come home. Obviously, he must be feeling a lot better and knows what home is and how wonderful it sounds to him right now. We love you Walt. Get better soon and work hard at St. Mary's on rehab. The quicker the better. See you soon. Love Bernie and Dick

Rabitz family,
Where do I begin. First of all, I was so saddened to hear of "Mr. Rabitz's" accident. But I am happy to hear of how much progress he is making! I was really upset when my mom called me and told me of the accident and that I lived so far away now instead of across the street and I couldn't give hugs or visits (even though I am sure you get plenty of them). But I am really thankful that my mom goes to see him a lot so she has been able to catch me up on his progress the past couple of weeks, and now I know of this that I can use :) I hope you received my card and found a little bit of comfort in it. I look forward when I come home in June to seeing you all and driving by and seeing Walt outside grilling and being able to see you all. Patty, I will have to join you and my mom one day when she goes over to chat on the porch and have a glass of wine or "Bynds" and I can catch up while you two talk. Anyways, I know I just did a lot of babbling, but I haven't talked to you so I just wanted to get my thoughts out. I promise the other comments I send from now on won't be as long. I think about you guys everyday and pray for his speedy recovery!!
Love,
Your neighbor, Lynne
