Patty says: My sweetie needs lots of prayers, love and support!! He cannot walk or talk. He is eating well though and he is definitely in there.
Thanks to all of his friends for their visits. Particularly Timmy (Barry) and Gary. Thanks for doing lunch for me. He really needs his male friends!! If any of his other friends can join him for lunch at 12:00 that would be great and Wally would really appreciate the visit.
Thanks to my nephew, Joe, for building a wheelchair ramp for Walter. We are lucky to have such a wonderful, caring nephew.
Thanks again to Lindsay, Bennett, and Brian for all that they have done around the house!!
Go Walter!!!!!!

I visited Walt Thursday evening shortly after dinner. After unzipping the canopy on his posey bed I helped him into a wheel chair. He ate some of a brownie that somebody had left for him for fuel, then we took a spin around the halls. The air hockey game was locked up so we did some web browsing instead, searching for military history stuff. Walt got antsy after awhile so we went back to his room and did our impression of a two stooges routine as we did the transfer from his chair to the bed. Walt was a good sport about it, and even though he didn't laugh he did seem visibly relieved when I zipped up the canopy on his bed again. The entire event took just a minute to describe but about 90 minutes to experience. Get well.
Hi All,
I stopped up to see Walt this afternoon after work (Friday) but he was sleeping. I tried to wake him, but I didn't try real hard. He was obviously very sound asleep. Every time the loudspeaker went off I would flinch, but he just snored through it. I left him another history book and took off. Next time I will bring a pen so I can leave him a note if he is asleep. Sorry I missed you Walter!
