Today is one of my dad's favorite days of the year - Cinco de Mayo! Every year, he stocks up on Corona and makes Mayan Roses and celebrates the day with the Callipare's, our neighbors across the street. He even has a Cinco de Mayo shirt that we bought him from Old Navy!
Since he cannot celebrate the day, please have a drink for him today or say a toast for him. Here's hoping that he's drinking Mayan Roses while wearing his Cinco de Mayo shirt on his deck next year :) Maybe we'll even get him a sombrero...

Lindsay, where did you find a photo of your dad actually smiling in a photo??? Obviously not his first glass of red.....
Gino I am with you on seeing what we can do to keep Walter learning and relearning what he needs so that his strength can be channelled in productive ways. I have been exercising his legs and arms when he has been well enough and he seemed to like that.
He tried to write on Thursday with his left hand. He was disappointed that it came out as a scribble, I was of course jumping around with joy that he was even able to make the attempt.
As always the last few days have been a roller Coaster but the ups are far outweighing the downs.
Regards to all the Walt Watch Bloggers.
