This comment is from Patty-Walter I am so proud of you and cannot believe the miracle we have witnessed. The love you have for us all you are showing every day with the strength you have to survive. We are here for you and love you so very much. We are thankful every day for our friends, wonderful neighbors and loving family. Without this gift it would add to the burden. We want you to know that every second of every day you are in our thoughts and prayers. God has given us another miracle-besides Lindsay and Brian. How lucky we have been in our life to have received 3! Keep up the good work! You are recovering like the strong, willful, loving, caring man that you are! I love you-P (aka your beloved) Thank you St. Jude for favors received.
Patty, Brian, Lindsay,- Thanks so much for the blog, these updates are GREAT news. Not a minute goes by that we don't think about you and say a prayer for Walters recovery. Keep the faith. see you soon. Our prayers are with all of you. The LeBeau's
Patty, Brian, Lindsay, and Rick -- Thanks for setting this up so we can keep up on how the big lug is doing. So good to hear how he's progressing! Hang in there, you guys and let us know if we can help in any way -- rides for Brian or whatever else. The Corry's
To All: this is a wonderful tool for those of us who are praying and concerned for your entire family. Thanks for taking the timne to let us know the updates on Walter's progress; hopefully it will cut down on the number of times you have to repeat the same info to us all! Some day soon, Walter can read all about his friends and family who care for him, and have thes entries as a chronicle of his progress. St. Jude did it again, Patty! alyce
When I saw Walter last week (Tuesday morning) before traveling back to Chattanooga, he was in a new room and he appeared to be ready to leave, and I can't blame him for that.
The picture taken before his birthday is great, Lindsay! The picture shows a guy that looks like the person who I last saw many years ago. He has aged well. :-)
While in ROC, I was pleasantly surprised that those bruises that one could see on Walter's body where healing quite well, and some were healing fast. He was always a good healer.... ;>
Considering the news about his MRI, I consider Walter to be Blessed, and I believe that he will heal quite well. I want this belief to be reality.... My thoughts are positive - big time!
We, Katy and I, pray for Walter on a daily basis.
Let me share a funny story with you. When I heard about Walter's injury, I was unable to sleep that night, and recalled nearly every event that Walter, John, Steve (Tip), Jim, Mike, and I shared when we were young boys..., into our teenage years. Steve and I were the youngest, I being at least several months younger than Jim T. As such, I always tried to entertain my cousins with some of the weirdest behavior one could think of..., at least the thinking at one's youth. On Tacoma street we were something else. I remember one of the more shameful acts (you'll notice that it was harmless - we hoped).
Walter would stand by while Jim and John C. would try to convince me that walking up to a door, ringing a doorbell, and asking an older woman about her mustache was funny. I don't remember letting my older cousins down. Walter would smirk, shake his head in disbelief, and run ... fast, with the others right behind him. I think that it was Walter's look of disbelief and disapproval that lead me to leave this poor old lady alone. Fortunately, this was the worse that we had ever done. I often wondered who wet their pants running soooo fast while laughing uncontrollably. :-) lol
I guess you had to be there! lol.
Although I must sign off, my thoughts are running rapidly, recalling my cousin in our healthy years, which will be once more.

so good to be able to hear Walter is doing better. Thank goodness for the stubborn will that the family seems to have.
